Course Features

The dental assistant is a multiskilled member of the dental health team, dedicated to assisting the dentist with all phases of dentistry. Dental Assistants may perform any of the following: 

• Assisting a dentist with treatments and procedures 
•  Taking and developing dental radiographs 
• Preparing and sterilizing dental instruments and equipment 
•  Perform laboratory functions such as pouring & trimming models, constructing custom trays and fabricating temporary crowns and bridges 
• Providing assistance in the office with tasks such as appointment scheduling, record keeping, telephone management, and billing

Unlike traditional Dental Assisting programs, our classes are conducted in a real dental office setting. Through experience, we have discovered that students’ capacity to learn is much greater with hands-on training compared to the traditional lecture approach to education. The learning environment we’ve created makes a difference, ensuring comfortability and easier transition to employment.
